Considering the recent technological developments in the solar energy field, the necessity of their integration to the built environment and the specific available knowledge at hand of each partner, a work group called BiSol (Building integrated Solar network) has been created within BRENET (Building and Renewable Energies Network of Technology).

The barriers to the dissemination of building integrated photovoltaic and thermal solar systems are numerous. It is thus indispensable that technological, constructive, architectural, economic and educational aspects be considered.
